Riley PNP · Kansas City
Accessibility
Real music is for everybody. Foreal — if this site is hard to use for you, that’s on me to fix, not on you to work around. This page says what we aim for, what’s still not right, and how to tell me straight.
Our commitment, plain and simple
Riley PNP is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who are blind, Deaf, have low vision, have motor disabilities, or use assistive technology. We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA — the international standard at w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag. We are working toward that target. This site is partially compliant: the static pages are built to the patterns below, and the known limitations are listed honestly so you do not have to guess.
What we aim for
WCAG 2.2 AA covers four promises: content that is perceivable (you can see it, hear it, or have it read to you), operable (you can use it with a keyboard, with touch, or with speech — no mouse required), understandable (plain words, predictable pages), and robust (it works with the screen readers, magnifiers, and browsers people actually use). That is the bar for every page on this site, not just this one.
How this site is built to get there
These are choices already in the shipped pages — not promises about a redesign someday:
- Keyboard first. Every link, button, and form control can be reached by keyboard alone. A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing on the page. Focus is always visible (a thick outline you cannot miss), in the same spot on every page.
- One clear road map. Landmarks (header, main, footer), one
H1per page, and a visible breadcrumb that matches the page’s structured data — so a screen reader’s landmark list and a sighted reader see the same site. - Words for the pictures. Every meaningful image carries real alt text that describes the picture, not the file name. Decorative flourishes are marked so they are skipped. Text that matters is real HTML text — never baked into an image — so it can be magnified, translated, and read aloud.
- Big enough to tap. Links and buttons meet a 44-pixel minimum target (48 where it counts), with spacing that does not make neighbours hard to hit. Layout is mobile-first and reflows without sideways scrolling at phone widths.
- Colour with a job, never the only job. The KC GRIT palette (ink, bone, ice blue, amber) is chosen for contrast on dark backgrounds, and meaning is never carried by colour alone — empty states, errors, and statuses say so in words.
- Motion you can turn off. The site honours
prefers-reduced-motion: smooth scrolling and animation step back when your system asks for it. - Forms that label themselves. Every field has a visible label tied to its input, instructions sit next to the field they describe, and nothing you type is sent anywhere until a form is actually connected (see “Feedback” below — the shells say so on the page).
- Honest empty states. No live dates and no orders exist yet on this site, and the pages say so in words instead of showing fake cards or fake play buttons. An empty page that tells the truth is more accessible than a busy page that lies.
- Checkout without colour or QR alone. Price, variant choices, shipping window, and errors are stated in words, and the Venmo note appears as text next to the payment link.
Known limitations
Straight up: the following parts are not fully accessible yet. Tap a heading to read what is not right and what is planned. Feedback stays below.
AI chat sidepane — in remediation
The on-site chat is not fully accessible yet. Some keyboard and screen-reader steps still need work. The same answers are on the static pages, which are easier to use with assistive technology.
On-site player
The persistent bottom player (play, queue, seek) is part of the build, but on-site audio playback is honestly pending: masters are not uploaded yet, so tracks show “Master upload pending” instead of playing. When audio does land, queue, shuffle, and seek controls will need the same keyboard, focus, and screen-reader treatment as the rest of the site — including not announcing a seek that has not actually happened.
Video, captions, and transcripts
Videos on this site are links out to YouTube, not embeds. /videos now lists five verified videos: Kinfolk (Lyrical Lemonade), Stash House, Sunshine, Quit The Game (CaviArt), and The Murder Tape full mixtape (Fresh Tapes). The page gives each title and channel in plain text, so the list itself is the text alternative. There is no on-site player, thumbnail gallery, or autoplaying embed here.
Captions, transcripts, and keyboard controls inside YouTube are provided by YouTube for each upload and are not controlled by this site, so check the caption control on the YouTube page for that upload. No on-site transcript is published yet. When an on-site player or transcript is added, it must ship with captions and a text transcript/description in the same commit, or it does not ship. If a title, caption, or transcript is missing or unusable, report it through /contact with the video title at the top of the message.
Documents and downloads
Press materials and any future PDFs (for example a press-kit EPK) are not yet published in accessible form. When they are, they must be tagged, selectable text — not scanned images — with a text alternative for anything visual. Until then, the press-kit page itself is plain HTML and needs no download to read.
Contact and newsletter forms
The contact and newsletter forms are shells: they have correct labels and structure, but nothing you type into them is sent, stored, or emailed yet. They are accessible as forms, but they are not yet a working way to reach us — see “Feedback” below for what to do instead of expecting a reply from a shell.
Store, variants, and Venmo checkout
The store is fail-closed today, so no Buy control is shown and no order can be placed. When a product is listed, its size and colour controls will be native labelled selects, quantity will stay fixed at one with the reason stated in words, price and the shipping window will be real text, and focus will stay visible on every control. The sticky buy bar will never be the only place to buy.
Payment opens Venmo in a new destination through a labelled link. The order note will also be written as text beside the link, so a QR code is never the only way to pay. The Venmo app and website are controlled by Venmo, not by this site, and their accessibility cannot be fixed here. If Venmo blocks you, do not keep retrying blindly. Use /contact with the word Support at the top. That form is still a shell, so this page will be updated when a working alternative channel opens.
Colour contrast on small print
Body text and headlines are chosen for contrast on the dark background. The smallest, lowest-emphasis print (for example footer fine print) is scheduled for a contrast re-check in both light and dark system themes; if any of it falls short of AA, it will be darkened — this statement will be updated when that check lands.
Feedback — tell us what’s broken
If something on this site is inaccessible to you, tell us. That report is how this page gets better, and it is the fastest way to get a workaround.
How to report an issue
There is currently no working accessibility feedback channel on this site. The /contact form is a shell only. Nothing typed into it is sent, stored, or emailed, and no email address or phone number is published on this site. Do not use that form to report an accessibility barrier, and do not send personal, payment, or sensitive information through it.
When a real contact channel is connected, this section will be updated in the same change to name that channel, the information to include, and how reports are handled. Until then, you can continue to use the static pages on this site, which do not depend on that form.
We do not promise a reply time, and we will not invent one. When a working channel exists, reports will be read, fixable issues will be corrected in the open, and the known-limitations list above will be updated when something changes.

Stay in the loop
Accessibility work only matters if you can hear the music it protects. The catalog is Still Cookin’ Vol. 1, The Murder Tape, The Speez, The Fundraiser, and Throwaways EP. Kansas City contemporary hip-hop, The Dopest Foreal.
The newsletter form is a shell until it is connected, so joining does not happen there yet. No frequency is promised. When it is connected, that page will say so.
Newsletter form is not connected yet. Nothing is sent or stored through it.
How we measure progress
We count only aggregate, privacy-friendly events for this page: a page view of this statement, and clicks on the actions above. We do not set tracking cookies, we do not fingerprint devices, and we do not build a profile of you. Counts are reviewed in aggregate to decide what to fix first, for example whether the report path is being used or whether the chat and player limitations above are the most common barriers. If a count is zero, that does not mean no one needs access help, and it never blocks a fix.
Events used on this page: accessibility_statement_view, accessibility_music_click, accessibility_faq_click, accessibility_support_router_click, accessibility_newsletter_click. Measurement is server-side and aggregate only. It does not change the shell status of the contact form above, and it does not promise a reply time.
Preparation of this statement
This accessibility statement was prepared on 5 November 2026. It is based on a self-assessment of the shipped pages on this site (home, music, albums, videos, live, news, about, store, press-kit, newsletter, contact, support, faq, and this page), checked against WCAG 2.2 AA. No automated checker score is quoted here, because a score alone would not prove the chat or player is usable.
This statement will be reviewed and updated whenever the site changes in a way that affects accessibility — at minimum when the chat sidepane or the on-site player ships, when an on-site video player is published (captions + transcript), when the contact/newsletter forms are connected, and at least once a year even if nothing else changes.
Catalog & scope
This statement covers the public website at rileypnp.appmajic.ai (and its interim host). The catalog it describes is 2016–2022 only: Still Cookin’ Vol. 1, The Murder Tape, The Speez, The Fundraiser, Throwaways EP. Kansas City Contemporary Hip-Hop — The Dopest Foreal. No part of this statement invents a release, a date, a price, or a contact detail to fill a gap.
